The Ningbo Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Center was established in 1988 and is a professional rehabilitation institution that provides services for people with disabilities. After continuous development and growth, by 2005, the construction area of the institution had reached over 8000 square meters, including over 3000 square meters of rehabilitation treatment facilities, used for exercise therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, traditional Chinese medicine treatment, and so on. In the same year, in order to meet the rehabilitation needs of patients and disabled people in Ningbo, with the approval of the Municipal Health Bureau, this institution established a hospital and was named Ningbo Ci'ai Hospital. It has an outpatient and inpatient department and is the first rehabilitation medical institution in Ningbo. Over the years, it has provided rehabilitation services to tens of thousands of disabled people.
