The Sixth People's Hospital affiliated with the School of Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was founded in 1904 and is a large-scale tertiary comprehensive hospital that has accumulated over a hundred years. In 2002, it became an affiliated hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In February 2021, the original East Hospital of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital was officially merged into the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, marking a new journey of high-quality development for the integration of the two hospitals.
